Product: M29W Laserjet
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just got a HP M29W laserjet and cannot connect to direct wireless.  I have to run off a hotspot at this house and have no router, All the setup looks for a router, wifi network, WPS, etc..  Tried HP support  chat, but the HP bots all try to answer like I have a WPS and router and found this useless without ability to talk to anybody.  

 

How do I connect wifi direct only and use a hotspot?  I'm willing to disconnect hotspot and connect direct to the HP.

 

Worked on this for 4 hours and the printer is boxed up to send back and will look for a printer with bluetooth connection  if not resolved.

HP Recommended

If you are using wireless direct no router or hotspot is needed, only a printer and a device that supports wireless direct.
