I have no wireless option on my OJ Pro 9018.  I have tried the factory network reset several times and have tried the power down, power clear and direct plug into the outlet routine several times to no avail.  How can I restore wireless capability to this printer?  Nothing in the community forum seems to work.  Thanks for any help you can provide

Hi @Pan1959,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you've already tried several steps to restore the wireless capability of your HP OfficeJet Pro 9018, but let's go through some additional steps to help resolve the issue.

Steps to Restore Wireless Capability:

Check Printer's Wireless Status:

  • Ensure your printer’s wireless feature is turned on. Check the printer’s control panel or settings menu to verify that the wireless signal is active.

Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi:

  • Go to the printer’s control panel and navigate to the wireless settings menu. Choose “Wireless Setup Wizard” or a similar option, and follow the on-screen instructions to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Update Printer Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Sometimes, printer issues are due to outdated firmware. Visit the HP website and download the latest firmware update for your printer model. Follow the instructions to install it.

Reset Printer Network Settings:

  • Perform a full network reset on your printer:
    1. On the printer’s control panel, navigate to Settings > Network Setup > Restore Network Defaults.
    2. Confirm to reset the network settings to default, which will clear any previous network configurations.

Reinstall Printer on macOS:

  • Remove and reinstall the printer on your Mac to ensure that it is correctly configured.
    1. Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
    2. Select your HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 from the list and click the - button to remove it.
    3. Restart your Mac.
    4. Add the printer back: Click the + button in the Printers & Scanners menu, select your printer from the list, and follow the prompts to reinstall it.

Check Wi-Fi Network Compatibility:

  • Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is operating on a 2.4 GHz band. Many printers do not support 5 GHz
