I have an Office jet 6962. Normally I do not have any issues printing from my phone, but all of a sudden my printer is not showing up on my printer list when I try to print from my phone. It is also not connected on my HP Smart. I tried printing from Google Docs app on the printer and it is telling me that it is not connected to the Internet, but it is. I have restarted my router twice. I've restarted and unplugged the printer several times. Restarted my phone. There are no needed updates on the printer. I'm not sure what else to do.

Hi @Ctk98,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds frustrating to encounter this issue with your HP OfficeJet 6962 printer. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the wireless printing problem.
Check Printer Connection:
- Ensure that your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone and computer. Sometimes, printers can switch networks or lose connection.
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless settings and verify the network connection status. Reconnect to your Wi-Fi network if necessary.
Restart Devices in Order:
- Turn off your printer, router, and phone.
- Turn on your router and wait for it to fully boot up.
- Turn on your printer and allow it to connect to the Wi-Fi network.
- Turn on your phone and check if it detects the printer.
Check HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app on your phone and check if the printer appears in the list of devices.
- If the printer is not listed, try adding it again manually through the app's setup process.
Update Firmware:
- Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can check for updates using the printer's control panel or through the HP Smart app.
Reset Network Settings (if needed):
- If you suspect there might be a network configuration issue, you can reset the printer's network settings.
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to Setup > Network > Restore Network Defaults. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset the network settings.
- After resetting, reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
Reinstall HP Smart App (if needed):
- If the HP Smart app is not detecting the printer, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app on your phone.
Check Firewall Settings:
- Sometimes firewall settings on your router or phone can block printer communication. Ensure that your printer's IP address or port is not blocked by any firewall settings.
By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the wireless printing issue with your HP OfficeJet 6962 printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
