I have an HP OfficeJet 5740-e-all in one series. I don’t know how to use it wirelessly with my new laptop. I can hook them up together with a USB cable from the back of the printer, but I can’t use it wirelessly with that laptop or with my iPhone X. Can anybody tell me what to do? And I don’t think I have the original set up disk for this printer. I’ve had it a number of years. Maybe I should just get a new one but this one was expensive and is still working great. Thank you for your help. Kathleen

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are getting Wireless connectivity issues, I am glad to assist you.

You change from a USB connection to a wireless network, follow these steps:-

1. Depending on your operating system, do one of the following:

● Windows 10: Click the down arrow in the lower left corner of the Start screen, select the printer name, and then click Utilities.

 2. Click Printer Setup & Software.

3. Select Convert a USB-connected printer to wireless. Follow the onscreen instructions.

Keep me posted.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several.

Cheers.
