HP ENVY Photo 7155 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP Envy Photo 7155 continues to show Offline when I try to print.  Have restarted router, printer and computer numerous times. I have reconnected printer to wireless network using restart. Checked that both computer and printer are on same network.  Wireless signal is solid blue on printer.  I am using a laptop with Windows 11.If I try to use diagnostics with HP Smart App, it tells me it cannot fix it. Windows Bluetooth cannot fix it.  They just won't recognize each other!

Hi @Squirrel49

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If your HP ENVY Photo 7155 printer shows as "Offline," despite being connected to the same network as your computer, here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:

Ensure Printer is Turned On:

  • Confirm that the printer is powered on and the wireless signal is steady blue, indicating it is connected to the network.

Verify Printer Status:

  • Open the Start Menu and select Windows System from the app list.
  • Select Control Panel, then click View devices and printers under Hardware and Sound.
  • Right-click your printer icon and select See what's printing.
  • Ensure there are no check marks next to "Use Printer Offline" and "Pause Printing."

Set Printer as Default:

  • In the devices and printers section, make sure your HP ENVY Photo 7155 is set as the default printer.
  • Right-click your printer icon and select Set as Default Printer if it is not already set.

Restart Print Spooler:

  • Open the Start Menu, select Windows Administrative Tools, and then select Services.
  • Locate the Print Spooler service, right-click it, and click Properties.
  • Set Startup type to Automatic.
  • Click Stop to stop the service and then click Start to restart it.

Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings:

  • Ensure no firewall or antivirus program is preventing your computer from connecting to the printer.

Try HP Print and Scan Doctor:

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility. This tool can automatically diagnose and fix printing issues.
  • Note that it may provide additional resolution steps based on its diagnostics.

Reconnect Printer to Network:

  • Reconnect your printer to the wireless network using the Wireless Setup Wizard found in the printer settings.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest drivers installed for the printer. You can download these from HP's official website if needed.

Check for Software Updates:

  • Make sure your HP Smart App and Windows 11 are fully updated.
