macOS 10.15 Catalina

Trying to print from my MacBook to HP LaserJetPro CM1415fnw. Both my laptop and the printer show connected to my home wireless network. However, when I send a job to the printer, the status window for the printer indicates that "The printer is not responding." When I run the network test on the printer, the report indicates that it is detecting 10 wireless networks and the troubleshooting paragraph indicates that "more than one access point/wireless router has been found that matches your wireless network's name (SSID). My wireless network consists of a bridged Arris modem/router and a Netgear Orbi mesh system consisting of one router and two satellites. What to do?

Hi @ScottWJ,

I'd like to help!

To assist better -

1.) Do you have antivirus software installed on your Mac?

2.) Do you have a guest network enabled on your Wi-Fi router?

3.) Approximately how far is the printer located from the Wi-Fi router?

The router is probably not configured in the bridge mode. This could be a NAT issue which means multiple routers are handing out IP addresses and causing a conflict. Bridge mode means the router acts as purely an access point and not a router. The issue is most likely when you can print at a specific location but not at a different location.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Answering your questions:

1. No. I do not have antivirus software installed on my Mac.

2. No. I do not have a guest network enabled on my WiFi router

3. My router is part of a NetGear Orbi mesh system. The actual Orbi router receives the internet signal via a bridged Arris Surfboard router. The Orbi router is approximately 75 feet from my printer. The two Orbi satellite devices are 10 feet and 30 feet, respectively from my printer. All three Orbi devices broadcast the same SSID.

I recommend you reach out to your ISB to be configured in the bridge mode
