Officejet 9010
macOS 10.15 Catalina

I never had any issues with my 9010 printer and one day suddenly the printer was disconnected from the wireless network. When I first set it up all setup was easy and wizard was available in startup and menu.

While I was trying to reestablish a wireless connection I noticed that all wireless functionality was missing from the settings (i.e. setup wizard or anything related to wireless). The blue wireless light is also turned off.

In dire need for help with this as I need this printer for my business. Please and thanks!

@Baseddmik, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand you are not able to find the wireless setup wizard option on the printer. Let us try these steps:

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.

If this does not help, we need to perform a factory reset on the printer.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
  • In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/notes/privatenotespage

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

I have the same problem but a factory reset did not help.  I also powered down the router,  the printer, waited about 10 mins and then brought the router back up and then the printer.  I still have no wifi connection and when I print the network configuration,  it indicates the devices wireless function has been disabled and I need to contact my network administrator.   I've contacted myself but I'm no help.

Suggestions?

@Nats981

By a factory reset, do you mean you performed a semi-full reset?

If you perform a semi-full reset and the issue still persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.

You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know how.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
