Hi @VixeyWitch,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing connectivity issues with your HP ENVY 4501 e-All-in-One Printer. Troubleshooting printer connectivity issues can be frustrating, but let's go through some steps to try and resolve the problem.

Check Wi-Fi Signal Strength: Ensure that your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router and has a strong signal. If it's too far from the router, move it closer to see if that improves the connection.

Printer Network Settings:

  • On the printer's control panel, go to "Setup" or "Settings" and look for the "Wireless" or "Network" settings.
  • Check if the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network. If it's not, try to reconnect it by entering your Wi-Fi network's SSID (name) and password.

Restart the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from power, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes reset any connectivity issues.

Check for Firmware Updates: Visit the HP website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.

Restart Your Router: Unplug your Wi-Fi router's power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Allow it to fully restart, and then try connecting the printer again.

Printer IP Address:

  • Find the printer's IP address in the network settings on the printer. Note it down.
  • On your computer, open a web browser and enter the printer's IP address in the address bar to access the printer's web interface. From there, you may be able to troubleshoot further.

Printer Driver Reinstallation: Sometimes, reinstalling the printer driver on your computer can help. Remove the current printer driver from your computer, download the latest driver from the HP website, and then reinstall it.

Security Software and Firewall: Check your computer's security software and firewall settings. Sometimes, they can block communication between the printer and the computer. Temporarily disable them and try connecting the printer.

Reset Network Settings on Printer: In the printer's network settings, there might be an option to reset the network settings to default. Be cautious when using this option, as it will erase any custom settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
