Hi @martyporte549

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand the concern. If the printer appears as connected, but it is not actually communicating or responding as expected, we'll need a few more details to better understand the situation before troubleshooting.

Could you please share:

  1. What is the exact HP printer model?
  2. Is the printer connected via:
    • Wi-Fi
    • USB cable
    • Ethernet cable
  3. What device are you printing from?
    • Windows PC
    • Mac
    • Android phone
    • iPhone/iPad
  4. What happens when you try to print?
    • Print job stays in queue
    • Printer shows Offline
    • Error message appears
    • Nothing happens
  5. Does the printer display show that it is connected to your network?
  6. Have there been any recent changes, such as:
    • New Wi-Fi router
    • Changed Wi-Fi password
    • Windows update
    • Printer firmware update
  7. Have you already tried any troubleshooting steps? If yes, please let us know what you've tried.

Also, if possible, please share a photo of any error message shown on the printer display or your computer screen. This will help us identify the connection issue more accurately and guide you with the most appropriate troubleshooting steps.

We're looking forward to helping you get back up and running!

Regards,

Hawks_Eye
