Hi @DennisH1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP Envy 6052e printer is not connecting to the internet/Wi-Fi. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

a. Check Wi-Fi Network

Make sure your Wi-Fi is working on other devices (phone, laptop, etc.).

Ensure you’re connected to a 2.4 GHz network, as this printer does not support 5 GHz only networks.

b. Restart Printer and Router

Turn off the printer and unplug the power cable.

Restart your Wi-Fi router (unplug for 10–15 seconds, then plug back in).

Plug the printer back in and turn it on after the Wi-Fi is stable.

c. Check Wi-Fi Password

Make sure you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password (case-sensitive).

If unsure, connect another device using the same password to confirm.

d. Restore Printer Network Settings

On the printer, press and hold the Wi-Fi Button + Cancel Button (X) together for 5 seconds.

This will restore network defaults and enable setup mode for 2 hours.

e. Reconnect to Wi-Fi Using HP Smart App

Open the HP Smart app on your phone or PC.

Tap the “+” icon to add a new printer.

Select your HP Envy 6052e and follow on-screen prompts to connect it to Wi-Fi.

f. Ensure Wi-Fi Direct is Disabled (if using home Wi-Fi)

Press the Information (i) button to print a network report.

Make sure the printer is attempting to connect to your router, not Wi-Fi Direct.

I hope this helps.
