Hi Dick483

If your HP Officejet 9120 is not printing from your laptop with Windows 11, follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

1. Check Printer Connection

  • USB Connection: Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the laptop.
  • Wireless Connection:
    • Ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your laptop.
    • Check the Wi-Fi signal on your printer's control panel.

2. Set Printer as Default

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  • Select your HP Officejet 9120 from the list of printers.
  • Click on Manage, and then click Set as default.

3. Check Print Queue

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  • Select the HP Officejet 9120 and click Open queue.
  • Make sure there are no stuck print jobs. If there are, cancel all documents.

4. Update Printer Drivers

  • Visit the HP Support page and search for your printer model (HP Officejet 9120).
  • Download and install the latest driver for Windows 11.
  • Alternatively, you can let Windows update the driver:
    • Right-click the Start button and select Device Manager.
    • Expand Printers, right-click your printer, and select Update driver.

5. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  • This tool can diagnose and fix many printing, scanning, and connectivity issues.

6. Check Windows Update

  • Ensure your Windows 11 is up to date:
    • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
    • Click Check for updates.

7. Troubleshoot Printer

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
  • Select Additional troubleshooters.
  • Click on Printer and run the troubleshooter.

8. Restart Printer and Laptop

  • Turn off your printer and laptop.
  • Unplug the printer from the power source and wait a minute.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
  • Restart your laptop and try printing again.

I hope the above is helpful
