Hi @confused-56,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I can help you troubleshoot the issue with your HP DeskJet 4130e All-In-One Printer. Here are some steps you can follow to get your printer back online.

Restart Devices

  • Restart Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for 10 seconds, and then turn it back on.
  • Restart Router: Unplug your router, wait for 10 seconds, and plug it back in.
  • Restart Computer/Device: Restart the device you are trying to print from.

Check Printer Connection

  • Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. You can print a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer’s control panel to verify the connection.

Re-establish Connection

  • Disconnect and Reconnect: Go to the printer’s network settings and disconnect from the current network, then reconnect.
  • Reset Network Settings: Restore the printer’s network settings to default and then set up the wireless connection again. Here’s how:
    1. On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button at the same time for 5 seconds.
    2. Release the buttons. The power light should blink indicating that the network settings are reset.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • HP Print and Scan Doctor: Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor on your computer. This tool can automatically find and fix issues with your printer.

Check Printer Settings on Computer

  • Remove and Re-add Printer:
    1. Go to the Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    2. Right-click on your printer and select Remove device.
    3. Click on Add a printer and follow the on-screen instructions to re-add your printer.

Update Printer Firmware and Drivers

  • Firmware Update: Ensure your printer firmware is up to date. You can check for updates on the HP Support site.
  • Driver Update: Update the printer drivers on your computer. Go to the HP Support site and download the latest drivers for your printer model.

Check Network Configuration

  • Router Settings: Ensure that your router is not blocking the printer. Sometimes, enabling the printer's MAC address filtering or ensuring the printer’s IP address is within the same subnet as your computer can help.
  • Static IP: Assign a static IP address to your printer from your router’s settings to ensure the printer always has the same IP address.

Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings

  • Firewall: Ensure that your firewall is not blocking the printer's connection. Temporarily disable the firewall to see if it resolves the issue.
  • Antivirus Software: Some antivirus software can interfere with network connections. Temporarily disable it to see if this resolves the issue.

If you've tried all these steps and are still experiencing issues, it might be helpful to reset your router to factory settings as a last resort, but be aware this will reset all your network settings.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
