Hi @hmorgens,
I'd like to help!
I understand the printer will not connect to your router.
To assist better -
- What device are you using the printer with, a Windows computer, Mac, Android or an iPhone?
- I would like to know, is your router set to work on 2.4 GHz network or 5 GHz network band?
Keep me posted.

Hi Jay,
thanks for trying to help.
1. In past (before the new router came) my printer worked as well with Windows and Android as with Mac, iPhone and iPad but mainly with Apple devices. Originally it was installed by an Windows Laptop. The Apple devices found the printer without to do anything.
2. The router offers the options 2,4 GHz, 5 GHz and 2,4 + 5 GHz. The presetting is 2,4 + 5 GHz. I have already tried only 2,4 GHz but it doesn't helped.

Hi Jay,
I found the solution. The reason for the the connectivity problem was the WLAN security key. The old router used the level WPA2 but the new one the security key level WPA2/WPA3. Apparently the printer HP8610 ist not able to connect on level WPA2/WPA3. I set the new router on level WPA2 and the connection from the printer to the WLAN worked.
Thanks for your efforts!
Bye
