Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

I use Gmail  program to receive and send emails

When I open a email message there is an option to print the content

I select this option and select the HP smart printer

I check the document content and select OK for ptinting

Then nothing happens, document is not in printer document list

I retry, nothing happens

Then I stopped printer spooler using services.msc and restart spooling after one minute

Then I retry printing, nothing happens

If I use HP Smart program to print another document, printing works fine

What is wrong with printing from Gmail ?

I understand you are not able to print emails. To isolate the issue, try printing a different email or a different type of document like Word or PDF or a webpage and check if that works.

 

If you are using the HP Smart app, use a web browser to open the email and try printing.

Try different browsers like Google Chrome or Firefox and check the result.

 

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and fix any driver issue

Click here to download the file. Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and click on 'Fix printing'.

The problem is not browser , email program or pdf program
There are three icons for my printer :
1) HP envy printer
2) HP envy scanner
3) HP smart printer
These (and others) can be selected when I want to print something.
For example : I use HP smart program when printing from my smartphone
But from laptop I select 1) HP envy 7900 printer works, but not always
Sometimes when I have a pdf file on disk I can use HP Smart and print
It is unclear which printer to use when printing from a program
But printing email and using 3) HP smart printer does not work (never)
Nothing like this is discussed in HP printer manual
For now its trial and error for me
Maybe difficulty is in printer connection (wifi,ethernet,usb)

Did you try printing a different email?

Did you try running the HP Print and Scan Doctor? This will fix multiple entries of the printer on the computer.

Did you try printing a different email?   Yes, cannot print any email when selecting HP smart printer

Did you try running the HP Print and Scan Doctor? Yes, everything is ok, so no difference

 

What is use of HP smart printing ? To print email : select print to  pdf file, save on desktop, then use pdf reader to print pdf file to HP smart printer, then delete pdf file

Click here to download the HP Full-feature driver.

Once downloaded, make sure to run the file to start the installation and follow the on-screen instructions.

 

Now, try printing the email. Do not use the HP Smart app.
