Step 1: Restart Everything

  • Power off the printer, unplug it for 60 seconds, then restart.
  • Restart your computer and router to refresh connections.

 

Step 2: Clear Print Queue

  • On Windows: 
    • Go to Settings → Devices → Printers & Scanners → [Your Printer] → Open Queue.
    • Cancel all pending jobs.

 

Step 3: Reinstall HP App & Drivers

 

Step 4: Update Firmware

  • In HP App → Printer Settings → Advanced Settings → Firmware Update.
  • Firmware updates often resolve error codes like 0x80040003.

 

Step 5: Check Connection

  • If using Wi-Fi, ensure the printer is on the same network as your computer.
  • If possible, try a USB connection temporarily to confirm printing works.
