HP ENVY 6065e
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Am helping a friend trying to connect her HP ENVY 6065e connect to her WIFI. It will not connect. Went to the HP website for help and that model is not even listed!! I believe its less than 2 years old. I spent about 3 hours trying different things to connect it to WIFI. I will get the message that the printer has been added to her HP laptop but it says the printer is offline and I cannot get it online.....AND....I cannot get it to connect to WIFI...   SO, I brought the printer home with me and in about 10 minutes I had it up and running and printing.  But cant get it to connect on her wireless or get it online. Please advise.

Check the printer connection status: Make sure the wireless signal is on, and the printer is connected to the same network as your computer or mobile device. If your printer has a light next to a Wireless icon or button , make sure the light is on. If it is off or blinks, the printer is disconnected from the network.

Thank you for responding.

How do I make sure its connected to the same network?    My computer did it automatically.  I did not have to do anything like that and her HP laptop is newer than my computer.  Why isnt it linking automatically to her WIFI. I guess I I need step by step instructions on how to make sure both of her devices are connected to the same network (she only has 1 network).   I have also tried to connect her printer using her IP address..it did not work. Please advise.
