Just installed this printer, with wifi connection to my desktop. When selecting 'scan' on the printer screen, my computer is listed twice under 'select computer'. How do I remove the duplicate?
I have tried to 'cold reset' the printer to reinstall, but both computers are still there.
It works fine, but is confusing for some members of the household.

@JordanFP, Welcome to HP Support Community!
Perform a hard reset on the printer-
- Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Wait at least 60 seconds.
- Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
- Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Also, Update the printer firmware
Download available firmware updates from the HP website
With the printer on and connected to the computer, go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads, and then identify your printer. Look for and install any available firmware updates. Refer to the document HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
If the issue persists, follow the steps below-
1. On the printer, go to Setup -> Tools - Restore Factory Defaults (you will have to set up your wireless connection again - step 3)
2. Turn Off the printer
3. Turn On the printer and setup wireless settings
4. Open up the HP Officejet Pro 8630 application (from Start menu > All Programs - HP -HP Officejet Pro 8630 -HP Officejet Pro 8630
5. Double-click "Scanner Actions"
6. Double-click "Manage Scan to Computer"
7. Click "Enable" to allow Scan to Computer and you may also click on the checkbox - Automatically start Scan to Computer when I log on to Windows
8. On the printer, go to Scan - Computer
9. Verify the old computer name is gone.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
