Hi @beautifull24,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be happy to help you!
To connect your HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One printer to a Windows 10 desktop, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the Printer
- Ensure your HP 5610 printer is turned on.
- Make sure it has paper loaded and ink cartridges installed.
- If you're connecting via USB, have a USB cable ready.
2. Install the Printer Software
You can install the necessary drivers and software by downloading them from the HP Support website or using Windows Update.
Option 1: Using HP Support Website
- Visit the HP Support website.
- Enter your printer model (HP Officejet 5610) in the search bar.
- Go to the Drivers & Downloads section.
- Download the latest drivers and software for Windows 10.
- Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
Option 2: Using Windows Update
- Connect your printer to the desktop using a USB cable.
- Windows 10 should automatically detect the printer and install the necessary drivers.
- If it doesn't, you can manually check for drivers:
- Press Windows key + I to open Settings.
- Go to Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Click on Add a printer or scanner.
- If Windows detects your printer, select it and click Add device.
3. Manually Add the Printer
If Windows does not automatically detect your printer, you can add it manually:
- Open Settings by pressing Windows key + I.
- Go to Devices > Printers & scanners.
- Click on Add a printer or scanner.
- Wait for it to search, and if it doesn't find your printer, click on The printer that I want isn't listed.
- Select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings and click Next.
- Choose Use an existing port (usually USB001) and click Next.
- Click on Have Disk and navigate to the folder where you downloaded the driver from the HP Support website.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Kindly check the remaining steps in the next post.
