Hi @xor56 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet 2822e printer keeps disconnecting from the Wi-Fi network during scanning and resetting the printer hasn't resolved the issue, here are some additional steps you can try to fix the problem:

1. Check Wi-Fi Signal Strength

  • Ensure that your printer is within the range of your Wi-Fi router and that the signal strength is strong enough. Move the printer closer to the router if needed.

2. Restart Wi-Fi Router and Printer

  • Turn off your Wi-Fi router and the printer.
  • Wait for a few minutes, then turn them back on.
  • Allow both devices to fully restart and reconnect to the Wi-Fi network.

3. Update Printer Firmware

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP DeskJet 2822e printer.
  • Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model, and download and install any available firmware updates.

4. Forget and Reconnect Wi-Fi Network

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Wi-Fi settings or network settings.
  • Find the option to "Forget" or "Remove" the current Wi-Fi network.
  • Reconnect to the Wi-Fi network by entering the network name (SSID) and password.

5. Check for Interference

  • Make sure there are no electronic devices or objects that could be causing interference with the Wi-Fi signal near the printer or router. Examples include cordless phones, microwave ovens, and large metal objects.

6. Update Wi-Fi Router Firmware

  • If possible, check for firmware updates for your Wi-Fi router and install any available updates. This can sometimes resolve compatibility issues with devices like printers.

7. Assign Static IP Address

  • Assign a static IP address to your printer within your router's settings. This can help ensure a consistent connection.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
