@hudso, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Restart the Printer and Computer

  • Turn off the printer. Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds. Plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
  • Restart your computer to ensure there are no pending software issues.

Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Go to Control PanelProgramsPrograms and Features. Find and uninstall any HP printer software.
  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and download the latest drivers. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:

Update Printer Firmware

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

Check your printer settings

  • Next, in Google Chrome. Make sure the paper size is correct (e.g., A4 or Letter) and ensure Scale is set to 100% under More Settings to prevent parts of the page from being cut off.
  • Next, ensure your HP Smart Tank 7305 drivers and Google Chrome are up to date. Outdated software can cause printing issues, so check the HP website for the latest drivers and ensure Chrome is updated.

Try printing the email as a PDF.

  • Save the email as a PDF, open it in a PDF viewer (like Adobe Acrobat), and print from there. This can bypass any browser-specific issues.
  • If printing directly from Gmail or Virgin Media Mail, try another browser to see if the issue is browser-related.
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies in Google Chrome to fix potential issues with webmail printing. Restart Chrome and try printing again.
  • Test printing other documents, such as from Microsoft Word or PDFs, to see if the issue is specific to emails.
