Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
If your HP Envy 6200 printer is showing as offline after upgrading to Windows 11, here’s a step-by-step guide to get it back online:
1. Restart Everything
Restart the printer.
Restart your computer.
Restart your router (if the printer is wireless).
This often re-establishes the connection.
2. Check Printer Connection
➤ If Wireless:
Make sure the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi.
On the printer’s screen, go to:
Settings > Network Setup > Wireless Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard
Follow the prompts to reconnect to Wi-Fi.
➤ If USB:
Try unplugging and replugging the USB cable.
Use a different USB port if possible.
3. Set the Printer Online in Windows 11
Open Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners
Click on your HP Envy 6200.
Select Open print queue.
In the new window, click Printer in the menu bar.
Make sure "Use Printer Offline" is unchecked.
4. Reinstall Printer Drivers
Windows 11 may need updated drivers.
Steps:
Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps
Uninstall HP Smart or old HP software (if outdated).
Download the latest drivers from HP's website:
HP Envy 6200 Drivers (Official HP site)
Or install the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store and follow the setup instructions.
5. Remove and Re-add the Printer
Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
Click your printer → Remove device
Click Add a printer or scanner
Wait for Windows to find it and re-add it.
6. Run the Printer Troubleshooter
Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters
Find Printer and click Run.
Let me know how far you get or if the printer is connected via Wi-Fi or USB — I can tailor the next steps.
