My WiFi did not change, however, the technician restarted and now I have a new password.  Everything else connects, phone, roku when the new password is entered, however, the printer is not asking for the password.  under setting in my phone, the only wifi option is Direct HP Envy , when I select this the response is unable to join the network.  If I try to add as new printer it states the option of HP Setup should show in my wifi network list but it does not.   I have tried unplugging printer and resetting modem/router and this did not work either.   I have also tried using the IP address and this did not work either.

I now know the problem but do not know how to fix.  The printer has my Network Name (SSID) as the old wifi name.  It has been updated but I do not know how to get this corrected.  Instructions state to "run the wireless setup from the printer software to configure your HP printer"    I am not sure the correct process to complete this?

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that you are unable to connect the printer to the WiFi connection after changing the password.

I am glad to assist you and fix the issue, follow these steps.

Restore the printer to the original network settings

(When you reset the printer network settings, previously configured wireless settings are removed)

  • On the back of the printer, press and hold the Wireless button for at least three seconds.

Refer to the steps mentioned on page number 26 in this user guide for connecting the printer using the HP Smart app:- Click here

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
