I'm suddenly getting an error message on my Mac when I try to print from my 3830 All in One: error message on Mac when trying to print: Can't open "/private/var/spool/cups/tmp/082c45f943211"

Bryan:

Well, that seems to have worked. At first, I got this error message:

"pdftopdf.filter” will damage your computer"

I found it and trashed the filter. Then tried to print again and was successful. Not sure what that was, but as soon as I got rid of it, all was well.

Thank you for your help!

The solution is to download (and install) this package which will update drivers AND THE CERTIFICATE:
ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Installations/Essentials/hp-printer-essen...

Easy Admin did nothing. Easy Startup did nothing. 5.1 drivers did nothing. This worked for me!

If this solved your issue, please thumbs up and mark as solved!

Hi Bryan:

Tried loading then reloading your link. It won't open. Got an error message on the screen saying the operation couldn't be completed: (com.apple.installer.pagecontroller error-1)

Arrgh.

Is anyone having this problem?  I'm getting this error message when I try to print.

I haven't found a solution and like others, I can no longer print.  I have an HP Officejet Pro 8610 ink jet printer working on a MacBook Pro.
