Hi @Marisa6880,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9018 only showing the option to connect via Ethernet and not WiFi, there are a few steps you can follow to resolve the issue:
To assist you better:

  • How far is the printer located from the WiFi router?
  • Do you have a dual-band router?
  • If you have a dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
  • Have you made any changes on your printer post that this issue raised and have you observed any light blinking on the display and error code

1. Check WiFi Module

Make sure your printer’s WiFi module is turned on and functioning. Sometimes, the wireless radio might be turned off.

  • Go to the printer's Settings on the control panel.
  • Look for a section like Network Setup or Wireless Setup.
  • Make sure Wireless is enabled.

2. Restore Network Settings

Restoring the printer's network settings to default can reset any potential issues.

  • On the printer control panel, go to Settings > Network Settings > Restore Network Defaults.
  • Confirm and allow the printer to reset the network settings.
  • After the reset, the WiFi setup option should appear.

3. WiFi Setup Wizard

Once the network settings are restored, try setting up the WiFi again.

  • On the control panel, go to Wireless Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • Follow the prompts to select your WiFi network and enter the password.

4. Printer Firmware Update Update the firmware on an HP printer

If the wireless option still does not appear, the printer might need a firmware update. Use the HP Smart app on your computer or phone to update the printer firmware.

  • Open the HP Smart app and select your printer.
  • Go to Advanced Settings or Printer Maintenance, and check for any available firmware updates.
  • Update the firmware if an update is available.

5. Power Cycle the Printer

Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source for 1-2 minutes, and then plug it back in. This can sometimes refresh the printer's network options.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
