Hi @frustrated3239,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The flashing information light on your HP ENVY 6452e typically indicates a connectivity issue or that the printer is trying to communicate something important. Since you've already tried unplugging both the router and printer and resetting the device, here are some additional steps you can try to resolve the issue.
Check for Error Messages on Printer Display:
- Ensure there are no error messages or instructions on the printer screen that need addressing (like ink issues, paper jams, or low supplies).
Reboot Both Devices:
- Router: Power cycle your router by turning it off, waiting 10-15 seconds, and turning it back on.
- Printer: Unplug the printer from the wall outlet for 60 seconds, then plug it back in.
Re-Establish Wireless Connection:
- If the printer is struggling to connect to Wi-Fi, you may need to reset the wireless settings.
- Reset Wireless Connection:
- On the printer's display, navigate to Setup > Network Setup > Restore Network Settings.
- After resetting, use HP Smart or the printer control panel to reconnect it to your Wi-Fi.
- Reset Wireless Connection:
Check Router Settings:
- Ensure your router is broadcasting on a 2.4 GHz network. Some printers struggle to connect to 5 GHz networks.
- Make sure the SSID (Wi-Fi network name) and password are correct.
Reinstall Printer:
- If the printer still doesn’t connect, try reinstalling it on your computer or mobile device using the HP Smart app. This app can guide you through re-connecting your printer to the network.
Manual IP Configuration:
- Sometimes assigning a static IP address can resolve connection issues.
- On the printer’s control panel, navigate to Network Settings > Wireless Settings > IP Configuration and manually enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway for your network.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
