I understand you are trying to reconnect your HP LaserJet Pro M203dw printer to your new router, follow these steps:
1. Reset Network Settings on the Printer
- Reset Network Settings:
- On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button together for three seconds. This will reset the network settings.
2. Reconnect Printer to New Wi-Fi Network
Use HP Smart App:
- Download and install the HP Smart app from the Microsoft Store or from the HP website if you don't already have it.
- Open the HP Smart app and click on “Set up a new printer” or “Add Printer.”
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi network.
Use Embedded Web Server (EWS):
- Print a configuration page from the printer to get its IP address:
- Press the Wireless button and the Information button together.
- Open a web browser on your computer and enter the printer's IP address in the address bar to access the EWS.
- Go to the "Networking" tab and connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi network by entering the network name (SSID) and password.
3. Update Printer Software/Drivers
- Download Latest Drivers:
- Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
- Install the drivers on your computer, following the on-screen instructions.
4. Add the Printer to Your Computer
Via Control Panel:
- Open the Control Panel on your computer.
- Go to "Devices and Printers" and click on "Add a printer."
- Follow the instructions to add your HP LaserJet Pro M203dw, selecting it from the list of available printers.
Using HP Smart App:
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Click on “Add Printer” and select your HP LaserJet Pro M203dw from the list.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
Troubleshooting Tips
- Ensure Printer is On and Connected: Ensure your printer is powered on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
- Restart Devices: Restart your printer, computer, and router to resolve any temporary connectivity issues.
