Hi @livlo

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If your HP DeskJet 2710e printer shows an 'excellent' internet connection but still states 'Printer connection to HP Connected - Not Connected', here are steps you can take to resolve the issue:

Re-check Network Configuration:

  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the same network as your macOS device.
  • Verify that your router supports 2.4 GHz band, as many HP printers may not connect over a 5 GHz band.

Verify Web Services:

  • Ensure Web Services are enabled on the printer. You can usually enable this via the printer's settings panel or HP Smart app.
  • To remove and re-enable web services, access the Embedded Web Server (EWS) of your printer:
    1. Open a browser and enter the printer's IP address.
    2. Locate and disable web services and then re-enable them. Follow the prompted steps.

Update Printer and Router Firmware:

  • Check and update the firmware of both your printer and your router. Firmware updates can resolve connectivity problems.

Reset Printer Settings:

  • Perform a reset of the printer's network settings. This can usually be done by:
    1. Turn on the printer.
    2. Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button on the printer at the same time for three seconds.

Check HP Smart App:

  • Use HP Smart on your macOS to verify the printer’s connectivity status and confirm it is properly set up in the app.

Ensure Printer Software is Up-to-date:

  • Ensure you have the latest printer drivers and software installed on your Mac. Visit the HP's Software and Drivers page to download the latest drivers.

Router Configuration:

  • Check your router settings to ensure there are no firewall rules blocking the printer’s communication.

You're clearly doing everything right, and we’ll get this sorted.
