Hi @Uceeangel1,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130nw's test report indicates that the printer cannot find your wireless router, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Verify Network Details

  • Check the Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID): Ensure that the printer is attempting to connect to the correct network.
  • Password Confirmation: Make sure you’re using the correct Wi-Fi password.

2. Check Wireless Settings on the Printer

  • Print a Configuration Report:
    • Press and hold the Resume/Cancel button on the printer until the Ready light blinks.
    • Review the report for wireless network settings and error details.
  • Reset Network Settings: Restore the printer's wireless settings to default:
    • Press and hold the Wireless button and Cancel button together for 3 seconds.

3. Ensure the Printer and Router are Close

  • Place the printer within 5-10 feet of the router during setup.

4. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Download the latest firmware for your printer from the HP Support Website.
  • Install it using a USB connection.

5. Reconnect to Wi-Fi

  • Use the HP Smart App or Embedded Web Server (EWS) for setup:
    • HP Smart App (Recommended): Install the app on your PC or mobile device. Follow the guided steps to reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi.
    • Embedded Web Server (EWS):
      1. Connect your printer to your PC using USB temporarily.
      2. Access the EWS via your browser by entering the printer's IP address.
      3. Navigate to the Networking/Wireless settings and configure Wi-Fi.

6. Check Router Settings

  • Enable 2.4 GHz Band: The HP LaserJet Pro MFP M130nw only supports the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band. Ensure it's enabled on your router.
  • MAC Filtering: If MAC filtering is enabled, add your printer’s MAC address to the allowed list. You can find the MAC address in the printer's configuration report.
  • Reboot Router: Restart your router to resolve temporary network glitches.

7. Verify Network Stability

  • Test with another device to confirm the router is functioning correctly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
