HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 All-in-One Printer

hi Everyone,

Is there a way to connect this printer to print from the internet?

I can send it an email to print, but I want to be able to print just like a normal person 🙂

cheers,

udi

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.

The printer cannot print "like a normal person" -- the software to do so is not available.

Someday soon perhaps -- the use of AI driven software is growing at an exponential rate.

The printer does, in fact, support the old "ePrint" technology.

Not all encompassing -- ePrint includes some significant limitations -- ePrint can be used to send qualifying jobs to your printer from anywhere you have full access to email.

Note:

For printers released after Fall 2020, HP ePrint is not supported. As an alternative, Print Anywhere is available on select models.  For more information, go to Print Anywhere with the HP Smart App.

Reminders

  • ePrint is free - there is no charge by HP for using ePrint.
  • ePrint is not a guaranteed service -- that means, it works when it works.  HP does not provide any guidelines for whether or not the service is available in your area (or any other).
  • ePrint is dependent on Web Services.
  • Web Services is the mechanism that connects your printer to the Internet.
  • We, that is, anyone outside of HP, do not have any visibility on whether Web Services is up, down, or otherwise in any region (location on the planet).
