Hi @RLWEISS,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Access Router Settings

  • Ensure your computer is connected to the network provided by your router.
  • Launch any web browser (such as Chrome or Firefox).
  • Type the IP address of your router into the browser's address bar and press Enter.
  • Common router IP addresses are often 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. You can check your router's documentation for the correct IP address.
  • When prompted, enter your router’s login username and password. These credentials are usually found on a label on the router or in the router’s manual.

Change Wi-Fi Network Name (SSID)

  • Navigate to the Wireless settings or Wi-Fi settings page. This location varies by router model, but it’s usually found in the main menu or under a wireless tab.
  • Find the section for changing the SSID (network name).
  • Enter the new name you wish to use for your network.
  • Save the changes by clicking the Save or Apply button, usually found at the bottom of the settings page.

Printer Control Panel:

  • Go to the printer’s control panel.
  • From the Home screen on your printer, touch the wireless icon or navigate to the wireless settings menu.
  • Select "Wireless Setup Wizard."
  • Search for available networks. Find the new SSID (network name) you assigned to your router and select it.
  • Enter the Wi-Fi password if prompted.
  • Print a test page to ensure that the printer is properly connected to the new network.

I hope this helps.
