Hi @rebel2017 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP DeskJet 3772 printer to your Wi-Fi network after changing the password, you'll need to update the Wi-Fi settings on the printer.
Here's a step-by-step guide:
- Access Printer Control Panel: Turn on your printer and ensure it is in a ready state. Press the Wireless button or open the Network Settings from the printer's control panel. This varies slightly depending on the printer model, but generally, there should be a button or menu for wireless settings.
- Select Wi-Fi Network: Use the arrow keys to navigate and select the option that says "Wireless Setup Wizard" or something similar. Then, press OK or Enter.
- Find Network: Your printer will search for available Wi-Fi networks. When it finds yours, select it from the list. If your network doesn't appear, you may need to manually enter the network name (SSID).
- Enter Password: Once you've selected your network, you'll be prompted to enter the new Wi-Fi password. Use the keypad on the printer's control panel to input the password. Be careful to enter it correctly, as Wi-Fi passwords are case-sensitive.
- Connect to Network: After entering the password, the printer will attempt to connect to the Wi-Fi network. This may take a moment. Once connected successfully, your printer will display a confirmation message.
- Update Printer Driver (Optional): Sometimes, the printer on your computer might still show as offline because it's trying to connect to the old Wi-Fi network. To resolve this, you may need to update the printer driver on your computer to reflect the new network settings. You can do this by uninstalling the current printer driver and then reinstalling it using the updated settings.
- Reinstall Printer: On your computer, go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners. Remove the existing printer by selecting it and clicking on "Remove device". Then, reinstall the printer by clicking on "Add a printer or scanner" and follow the on-screen instructions to rediscover and install your printer with the new Wi-Fi settings.
