How to Connect Your HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer to a New Wi-Fi Network
Prepare for the Connection
- Ensure your new router is set up and working.
- Have your new Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password ready.
- Place your HP ENVY 6055 printer within range of the new router.
Restore Network Settings on the Printer
- To clear old Wi-Fi settings:
- Press and hold the Wireless button (📶) and the Cancel button (❌) on the printer until the Power button light starts blinking.
- This resets the network settings to default and disconnects the printer from any old network.
- To clear old Wi-Fi settings:
Reconnect to the New Wi-Fi
- Using the HP Smart App:
- Download and open the HP Smart app on your phone or computer.
- On mobile: Available in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- On desktop: Download from the HP Support website.
- Open the app, and select "Set Up a New Printer."
- Follow the on-screen instructions to detect your printer and connect it to the new Wi-Fi network.
- Ensure your device is on the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to join.
- Enter your new Wi-Fi credentials when prompted.
- Download and open the HP Smart app on your phone or computer.
- Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS):
- Press the WPS button on your router.
- Press and hold the Wireless button (📶) on the printer for 3 seconds, or until the wireless light blinks.
- The printer should connect automatically.
- Using the HP Smart App:
Verify the Connection
- Print a Network Configuration Page:
- Press and hold the Information button (ℹ️) until all control panel buttons light up.
- Tap the Information button again to print the page.
- Confirm the new Wi-Fi SSID appears under "Wireless Settings" on the page.
- Print a Network Configuration Page:
Update Printer Drivers (if necessary)
- If you experience issues, ensure you have the latest drivers for your HP ENVY 6055 All-In-One Printer from the HP Support website.
