@sillyDougie, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
To troubleshoot the HP Cloud Debug connectivity issue with your HP DeskJet 2852e All-in-One printer, follow these steps:
Verify Network Compatibility
Ensure your router operates on the 2.4 GHz frequency band, as the HP DeskJet 2800e series supports only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. If your router is dual-band, disable the 5 GHz band temporarily to confirm this is the issue. Some users have resolved similar problems by ensuring the printer connects to the 2.4 GHz network.
Check Printer Network Status
Access the printer's network status page by navigating to https://10.0.0.223 from a browser on a device connected to the same network. Verify that the printer is connected to the correct network and has a valid IP address. If the printer displays "Ready" and the IP address is correctly assigned, the network connection is likely stable.
Reset Wi-Fi Settings
If the printer is connected to the wrong network or has connectivity issues:
Reset Wi-Fi Settings:
Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons simultaneously until the Power button briefly flashes, then release the buttons. The Wireless light will blink blue.
Wait for one minute.
Close and reopen the HP software, then attempt to reconnect.
Re-enable Web Services
Sometimes, re-enabling web services can resolve connectivity issues:
On the printer's control panel, navigate to Setup > Web Services.
Select Remove Web Services, then confirm.
Wait for the printer to process the request.
After a few minutes, return to the same menu and select Enable Web Services.
Wait for the printer to print a Web Services Info Sheet, indicating successful re-enablement.
Run HP Smart
- Download and run the HP Smart. Follow the prompts to diagnose and fix common printing issues.
- Reference: Use Diagnose & Fix in HP Smart to repair common printing issues (Windows, macOS) | HP® Support
Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)
- Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
