How do I enable my printer

Check the Connection:

  • Network Connection: Make sure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer. You can check the network status from the printer's control panel.

Install or Update HP Software:

  • HP Smart App:
    • Download and install the HP Smart app from the HP website or your device's app store.
    • Open the HP Smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
  • HP Full Feature Software:
    • Visit the HP Software and Driver Downloads.
    • Enter your printer model (HP OfficeJet Pro 8740) and download the full feature software and drivers for your operating system.
    • Install the software by following the on-screen instructions.

Use the Scanner:

Using the HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your device.
  • Click on the scanner icon or the option that says "Scan."
  • Choose your scan preferences (e.g., document type, resolution).
  • Click "Scan" to start the scanning process.

Using HP Scan Software:
