Welcome to the HP English Community --

Reminder to those reading

This printer only supports 2.4GHz connection.

Open the user manual for the printer:

User Guide – HP DeskJet 2800e HP DeskJet 4200e

On Page 53 find the Reset / Restore options for Factory and / or Network.

Restore the printer to Network defaults.

If using the Embedded Web Server (EWS),

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Next, as available

Tab Settings > Restore Defaults > Restore Factory Defaults / Restore Network Settings / HP Secure Erase

After that, the printer is connected to the printer as you have done in the past.

Review the steps as explained in the printer's user manual.

Remember the limitation for the 2.4GHz frequency.

Set your router to support and broadcast both frequencies (2.4GHz and 5GHz).

Create a separate SSID named network for each frequency.

Connect your printer to the SSID named network for 2.4GHz.

If you need help configuring your router, contact your network / ISP provider.
