Hi @perumal1974,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are trying to reset the HP Ink Tank Wireless 419 and address the issue of xerox output being in condensed format, follow these steps:
Reset the Printer
- Turn off the Printer: Press the power button to turn off the printer.
- Disconnect Power: Unplug the printer from the power source and disconnect it from any USB cables.
- Hold Buttons:
- While the printer is off, press and hold the Power button and the Cancel (X) button together.
- Reconnect Power: While holding these buttons, reconnect the printer to the power source.
- Release Buttons: Release the buttons once the printer powers on.
- Wait for Initialization: Allow the printer to complete its initialization process. The reset is now complete.
Check and Adjust Copy Settings
The condensed output issue might be due to incorrect copy settings. Follow these steps to resolve it:
- Ensure Proper Paper Size:
- Make sure the paper size loaded in the tray matches the paper size set on the printer control panel.
- Adjust Copy Settings:
- Press the Copy button on the printer.
- Use the Resize or Copy Size option to select the desired output size.
- For a 1:1 copy, select Actual Size.
- Alignment Check:
- Perform a printhead alignment using the printer’s control panel or the HP Smart app.
Verify and Test
- Test Xerox Function:
- Place the document to be copied on the scanner glass and press the Start Copy button.
- Check if the output is no longer condensed.
- Update Firmware: Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Ensure the printer firmware is up to date using the HP Smart app or from HP’s official website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
