hp color laserjet pro mfp3301 goes offline for airprint

printer is installed and connected to wifi

windows 10 laptops can print via wifi to the printer without any issues.

after resetting wifi on the printer, iPhones are able to print to that same printer via AirPrint.

that lasts for 30 minutes or so and eventually iPhone cannot find printer via AirPrint  most of the time.

Reconnecting the printer to the wifi network results in the printer being available for airprint for a while but after an hour or so it disappears and is no longer visible

@garyg1216, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like the printer is losing its connection to AirPrint after some time, even though it's working fine with Windows devices.

Try assigning a static IP to the printer through your router settings to prevent the connection from dropping.

Also, check if there’s a sleep mode feature enabled that might be affecting AirPrint. If the issue persists, restarting your router.

Then, update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

I hope these steps help resolve the issue

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
