Hi @kmhuck
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query.
When you switch to a new internet provider or Wi-Fi router, the network name and IP address assigned to your printer change. Scanning can sometimes continue working over temporary or app-level pathways, but printing often stops working because your devices are still trying to send print jobs to the printer's old network IP address or an offline queue. Additionally, because the HP ENVY 6055e is an HP+ printer, it requires an active, verified internet connection synced through your HP account to allow printing.
To get your printer fully reconnected and printing from both your computer and phone, follow these steps:
Reset the Printer's Network Settings
Putting the printer back into Wi-Fi setup mode clears out the old router's information:
- Go to the back of the printer and press and hold the Wi-Fi button for at least 3 seconds.
- Watch the light bar on the front of the printer: it will begin to pulse purple from the center outward, which indicates the printer is in Auto Wireless Connect (AWC) setup mode and ready to connect.
Re-Add the Printer in the HP App (Click here)
You must re-link the printer on your new Wi-Fi network using the HP App:
- On your phone or computer, make sure you are connected to your new Wi-Fi network (and ensure Bluetooth is turned on if using a phone).
- Open the HP App.
- Tap or click the Plus icon (+) on the home screen, select Add Printer or Set up a new printer, and follow the on-screen instructions to select your new Wi-Fi network.
- Sign in to your HP Account when prompted to ensure your HP+ printing permissions are active.
Make sure the printer is connected with 2.5Ghz network.
Check the Print Queue & Offline Status on Your Computer
If printing still fails from your computer after re-connecting to Wi-Fi, the print queue may be stuck or set to offline:
- Open Devices and Printers (or Printers & Scanners) from your computer's settings or Control Panel.
- Open the print queue for your HP ENVY printer and click the Printer menu at the top.
- Ensure there are no check marks next to Pause Printing or Use Printer Offline.
- Make sure your updated HP printer is selected as the Default Printer.
- If old print jobs are stuck in the queue, click Cancel all documents (or purge print documents) to clear the queue, then try printing a fresh document
