Hi!

My printer goes into an offline coma from which there is no recovery. I have gone through every step in the trouble shooter and the only thing that works is to uninstall and reinstall. And then it works fine for 1 or 2 weeks. And then its coma time again.

This cannot be considered normal or even remotely OK. Does anyone have a slightly less irrtating way of fixing this?

Hello,

Hope you are well,  if the printer is connected over Wifi or using an ethernet cable directly into the modem, it may get an IP address. So, from the printer screen you may need to get the IP address of the printer, you can touch the upper right corner network button and then select the icon in the middle for network connection info and get the IPV4 address, if there is none IP address please make sure the printer is properly connected or try testing with another hotspot or wifi network.

Once you get the IP address of the printer, please take the number and put it into the URL of a web browser in your computer, then hit enter, you should be able to see a web page showing the printer status. if so, the connection is good between the printer and network, so it is not a printer or network issue, so the next step is to uninstall and reinstall the printer on your computer.

in case you notice the IP address is changing in a certain amount of time, make sure the router with the internet provider the router is not auto assigning IP addresses by itself in a certain period of time, as far the IP address changes on the printer, that will get the computer offline with the printer.
