Hi @Jo365,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're encountering an issue where your HP OfficeJet H470 printer is not printing due to a requirement for the latest version of Adobe Flash on your computer. However, I'd like to clarify a few things.
Printing and Adobe Flash: Typically, printers like the HP OfficeJet H470 do not require Adobe Flash to function. Printing is a separate process that usually involves drivers and communication between your computer and the printer, and it doesn't rely on Flash.
Troubleshooting Steps:
- Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the correct and up-to-date drivers installed for your HP OfficeJet H470 printer. You can download the latest drivers from the official HP website.
- Connection: Check that your printer is properly connected to your computer, either via USB or over the network if it's a wireless printer.
- Printer Queue: Make sure that there are no print jobs stuck in the print queue that might be preventing new print jobs from being processed.
- Printer Status: Check if your printer is displaying any error messages or indicators that might point to a specific issue.
Flash Uninstall: If you're encountering issues related to Adobe Flash, it's recommended to completely uninstall it from your system as it's no longer secure. You should not need Flash to print documents.
Alternative Solutions: If you're experiencing issues with a particular document or website, consider trying a different browser, updating your printer drivers, or restarting your computer. If you're trying to print from a specific software or website, it might be worth checking if that software or website has been updated to work without Flash.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I uninstalled flash player. Unplugged my printer and reinstalled it with the CD it came with and it still won't work. I tried to get the latest driver from HP but it says it is no longer supported. What the heck does that mean? It worked fine until the windows update and now it won't work? This just is not right! Last time this happened I bought both a new computer and a new printer. I'm not working now and I can't do that again. Isn't there anything I can try?
