Hi @mikevallante,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are to disable MAC address filtering on your router, you need to access your router’s configuration page. Here are the general steps to do this:

Connect to Your Router:

  • Make sure your computer is connected to the router either via Wi-Fi or Ethernet cable.

Access the Router’s Configuration Page:

  • Open a web browser and enter the router’s IP address in the address bar. Common default IP addresses include:
    • 192.168.0.1
    • 192.168.1.1
    • 192.168.1.254
  • Press Enter.

Log In:

  • You will be prompted to enter a username and password. This information is usually found on a label on the router itself. If you haven’t changed the default login credentials, they might be:
    • Username: admin
    • Password: admin or password
  • If you have changed the login credentials and do not remember them, you may need to reset your router to factory settings.

Navigate to MAC Address Filtering:

  • Once logged in, look for a section related to wireless settings or advanced settings. The exact menu names and locations vary by router brand and model.
  • Look for an option like “MAC Filtering,” “Access Control,” “Wireless MAC Filtering,” or something similar.

Disable MAC Address Filtering:

  • If MAC address filtering is enabled, you should see a list of MAC addresses or an option to turn it off.
  • Disable the MAC address filtering by unchecking the box or selecting the appropriate option to turn it off.
  • Save your changes.

Reboot Your Router (if necessary):

  • Some routers may require you to reboot for changes to take effect. If prompted, reboot your router.

Reconnect Your Printer:

  • On your HP OfficeJet Pro 8610, go to the Wireless Settings menu and try connecting to your Wi-Fi network again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
