@B--rad, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Wi-Fi Connection Issues with HP Smart App!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
If you're encountering difficulties signing onto your Wi-Fi network with your HP Envy 6558e All-in-One Printer via the HP Smart app, here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:
1. Verify Wi-Fi Credentials
- Double-check that you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password. Ensure that it matches the case-sensitive characters required for your network.
2. Check Network Settings
- Ensure that your printer and the device where HP Smart is installed are on the same Wi-Fi network.
- Verify that the Wi-Fi network is operational by checking other devices connected to the network.
3. Restart Devices
- Restart your Wi-Fi router by unplugging it, waiting for 15 seconds, and then plugging it back in.
- Restart your printer and the mobile device/computer from which you are trying to set up the printer.
4. Ensure Proper Printer Setup
- Confirm that your printer is within range of the Wi-Fi router and there are no major obstructions or interference.
- Check if the Wi-Fi light on the printer is blinking, indicating it is in setup mode. If not, follow your printer's manual to reset the wireless settings.
5. Use HP Smart App for Setup
- After restarting, open the HP Smart app. Make sure your mobile device or computer has Bluetooth enabled, as some printers use this to help set up the connection.
- Follow the guided steps in the HP Smart app for setting up your printer. You may need to manually enter your Wi-Fi password again.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
