hello, my hp2622 has stopped working on wifi. I have read a lot about it not working on 5g internet. I have checked that my router has 2 separate bands for 2.4 & 5g. I can get it to print using usb, so the printer itself is working ok. Any help please on what else I need to do. Thanks

Welcome to HP Support Community
I would like to help
If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, then the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks and then connect the printer to the 2.4 GHz Network
Thank you

Restore the wireless settings once again
Press and hold the wireless and cancel button ❌at the same time for 5 seconds.
Follow the steps below to connect the printer to the network.
-->On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button ((i)) and the Resume button (arrow pointing down)together for three seconds. (When Wi-Fi Direct is turned on, the Wi-Fi Direct icon on the display stays on)
--->On your computer or phone go to wifi and connect it to your printer
--->Select your printer with DIRECT in the name from the list of available networks (example: DIRECT-74-HP Deskjet3630).
--->Select the Wi-Fi Direct printer signal in Wi-Fi settings
--->If prompted for a password, type 12345678. This is the default password to log in.
--->Now open a browser and type the printer's IP Address
--->you will be able to access the printer's EWS page
--->on the page, you will find network - click on it
--->go to wireless and select wireless setup wizard
--->now select the network that you want your printer to connect to and type in the password
--->the wifi light on the printer will remain solid blue, if the printer is successfully connected.
--->then connect your phone/computer back to your network

Hello,
I'm afraid that also didn't work. I am not sure if it now not working with USB either because of the instant ink cartridges not being recognised now.
I went through the steps but in the wizard I got message ...
A problem occurred during the wireless connection test. These settings have not been saved.
Click 'OK' to restart the setup wizard and enter the settings again.
I tried it a couple of times but it was the same both times.

Try assigning a manual IP address
- Print a Network Config Page from the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
- Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
- Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
- On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250
- Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
- Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.
- Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS. This is Google DNS.
- Click 'Apply'.
