I have an hp3050A Deskjet Printer used for iPad AirPrint. The printer has been successfully connected my wireless network for several years. It has always established a connection using the WPS button on the router/gateway. Recently I upgraded the Xfinity Gateway to their X-Fi modem. Now the hp3050A doesn't print from the network. The iPad and the Windows 10 computer show the printer present as a network printer but printing fails with a timeout. The printer shows that it has a connection to the network with an IP address of 169.254.13.112. Unfortunately the X-Fi gateway does not allow the user to login as admin to check statuses and IP addresses. Xfinity does provide an app for a mobile device which allows you to see the devices connected to your gateway. This app tells me that the hp3050A is on IP address of 10.0.0.32. It seems that the printer failed to receive the correct address during the WPS process.
