Tried to use a new Netgear RAXS router but had problems with other devices so elected to put the old router back which is an older TPLink - worked fine just wanted to upgrade. Now the printer won't connect to network-tried everything. HP on line does not help me. Where on the printer can I enter password name, etc, I do not have a screen on the printer. HP Smart has my printer on the screen but states "unavaliable". I'm not tech oriented so need very basic instructions, Thanks for any assistance

Hi @olyshed,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
You're doing a great job trying to reconnect your HP DeskJet 3700 after switching routers. Since this printer doesn’t have a screen, setup can be a bit tricky, but I’ll guide you through simple, step-by-step instructions to get it back on Wi-Fi.
Step 1: Reset Network Settings on the Printer
This puts the printer into setup mode so it can be discovered again.
- Turn on the printer.
- Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button (the red X) together for 5 seconds.
- Wait until the Wireless light starts blinking. This means it's in setup mode.
Step 2: Use HP Smart App to Reconnect
- Open the HP Smart App on your laptop or iPhone.
- Tap “+” to add a printer.
- Select your HP DeskJet 3700 from the list.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect it to your Wi-Fi network:
- Enter your Wi-Fi name (SSID) and password when prompted.
If the printer doesn’t show up, make sure your phone or laptop is on the same Wi-Fi network and that Bluetooth is enabled.
Step 3: Confirm Connection
- Once setup is complete, the Wireless light should turn solid blue.
- Try printing a test page from the HP Smart App.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
