Hi @unthink,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium E-All-In-One printer that cannot connect to the EWS (Embedded Web Server) or use HP ePrint after a power outage, you can try several troubleshooting steps.

Here's a comprehensive guide to help resolve this issue:

Steps to Troubleshoot and Fix HP Officejet Pro 8600 Connectivity Issues

Power Cycle the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
  • Print a network configuration page from the printer to verify the connection.
  • Go to the printer's control panel, navigate to the network settings, and check the Wi-Fi status.

Restart Network Devices:

  • Restart your router and modem.
  • After restarting, reconnect the printer to the network.

Assign a Static IP Address:

  • Go to the printer's control panel and open the network settings.
  • Select "IP Settings" or "IPv4 Configuration."
  • Manually assign a static IP address to the printer within the range of your network.

Update Printer Firmware:-  Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer.
  • You can do this by visiting the HP support website, downloading the latest firmware, and following the installation instructions.

Reset Network Settings on Printer:

  • Go to the printer's control panel.
  • Navigate to "Network" or "Wireless" settings.
  • Select "Restore Network Defaults" or similar options to reset the network settings.
  • Reconfigure the Wi-Fi settings after the reset.

Accessing EWS (Embedded Web Server):

  • Ensure the printer is connected to the network.
  • Open a web browser on your computer.
  • Enter the printer’s IP address in the address bar to access the EWS.
  • If you can access the EWS, reconfigure the ePrint settings and re-register your email address.

Hard Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet and then into the printer.
  • Turn the printer back on.

this is not working; page not found. also, i have tried all of the steps and still will not work. i have even unplugged it for 1 week and still the same. now it is locked. i do not know how to unlock it nor do i have any idea how it got locked. because i do not know how to lock it. i wished there was a chat or a number to call. because since hp is rated #1 that they would want to help all customers of all printers. not the current ones with warranty. because this printer is very good; no other printer that other brands or hp has that would work for me. because this one has an legal size screen, and legal size paper tray. the new ones are all letter size. i use legal all the time. and no where can i get my documents printed in legal at any place. thanks, lynn
