Some Ideas
The printer lacks a full featured control panel - removing the printer from your network limits communication with the printer and its features.
Make sure your network router is not set to broadcast SSID / network names and information -- and make sure that same router is secured and updated. True - not broadcasting SSID information within your network means that some devices won't connect unless the connection is made manually each time the connection breaks. If that is the case, switch on Broadcasting > connect the device(s) > switch off Broadcasting.
Make sure both Wireless and Wi-Fi Direct are switched OFF on the printer.

Windows 11 - Might be worth a look for any Printer(s) connected
Settings > Network & internet > Advanced network settings > Advanced sharing settings
Private networks, when secured behind a decent router, firewall, and security software can tolerate having both Network discovery and File and Printer sharing enabled.
Public Networks might be less forgiving of your privacy -- consider leaving discovery and sharing OFF
"All networks" -- Configure Public folder sharing, file sharing connections security, and enable Password protected sharing
