Try these steps:

Gather Your Network Information:

  • Network Name (SSID)
  • Network Password (WEP key or WPA passphrase)

Power On Your Printer: Ensure your HP ENVY 6458e printer is powered on and has paper loaded in the input tray.

Prepare Your Printer for Wi-Fi Setup:

  • On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button and then navigate to Settings.
  • Select Wireless Setup Wizard. The printer will search for available networks.

Select Your Network:

  • From the list of available networks, select your network name (SSID).
  • Enter the network password (WEP key or WPA passphrase) using the control panel.

Confirm Connection:

  • Once connected, the printer will display a confirmation message on the control panel.
  • You can also print a network configuration page to verify the connection.

Update Printer Software (Optional But Recommended):

  • Ensure you have the latest printer software and driver by visiting the HP Support page.
  • Download and install any necessary updates to keep your printer running smoothly.
