I have an old computer running Windows XP (don't laugh)
It is not generally connected to the web (It is as fast as the day I bought it). (much faster than my other late model laptops that get slower every day)
I use it for all my personal stuff that I don't want hacked (tax records etc)
Occasionally I need to print stuff and had a USB connection to my networked printer.
My old printer stopped working and HP told me it was no longer supported so they could not tell me how to fix it.
I bought a new printer HP Officejet Pro 6960
It did not come with the option of the USB connection It is connected to my home network via Wi Fi
I temporarly connect my XP computer to the web Via ethernet cable to my modem and can access the web so I should be able to connect to the printer via my modem but I can't seem to do it. The wizards will not detect my printer and the HP site doesn't help.
Can someone please tell me how to connect to my printer

There is a USB port on the back of the printer for a direct connection to the computer, USB cable needs to be purchased separately, the printer supports WIN XP SP3 OS, the earlier versions will not work.
