HP OfficeJet Pro 8035 All-in-One Printer

When I attempt to scan a document to email I receive an error message that says: “There was an internal processing error. Please retry or manually check the firmware updates.”  When I checked for firmware updates there were none. 

How can I resolve this issue? (Short of tossing the printer out the window and purchasing a new one).

I've been troubleshooting this for days now could someone please get back to me!

How are you trying to scan?

Did you make a copy and check if that works fine?

Which operating system is installed on the computer to which this printer is connected?

yes the printer will copy the document.
